What if Bush Wins

David Broder recalls a series in the September 2004 Washington Monthly in which 16 writers predicted what would happen if Bush won the election. Ah, what a difference 20 months make. it's an interesting trip down memory lane, but one piece in particularly really stands out. Ready?

Grover Norquist (remember him?):

The modern Democratic Party cannot survive the reelection of President George W. Bush and another four years of Republican control of both Congress and the White House.

No brag. Just fact.

I guess, though, that he was half right. Correct scenario; wrong party.
