How about Sen. John Cornyn (Texas), Republicans’ conference vice chairman, saying: “They’ve been at it for four months. They’ve lost essentially every vote so far. It’s pretty clear that people want to see security on the ground improve.” when talking about defense spending bills. Yeah, "the people" are the obstructionists to tying a troop withdrawal to the spending bills. Where do the Repubs get these guys?
