[Democrats]

Yes.

On CNN today Nancy Pelosi
KYRA PHILLIPS, CNN: (picking up midsteam) I think it's unfair that FEMA's just singled out. There are so many people responsible for what has happened in the state of Louisiana.

PELOSI: That is true. That is true, and I'm sorry that you think it's unfair. But I don't. I think it's unfair to the people who lost their family members, their lives, their livelihoods, their homes, their opportunity--and FEMA did a poor job. It had no chance. It was, it was--

PHILLIPS: But what about those warnings--

PELOSI: Let me please respond.

PHILLIPS: What about all the warnings from the Army Corps of Engineers, years ago--

PELOSI (simultaneously): The Army Corps of Engineers...

PHILLIPS: ... saying there's a problem with these levees, there's a problem with this city.

PELOSI: Myra....Myra,

PHILLIPS: It's Kyra, it is Kyra ...

PELOSI: Krya, if you want to make a case for the White House you should go on their payroll.
Funny how the press is so mild when talking to the incompetents, but real tigers when someone mentions trying to improve on the incompetence, or hold idiots like Brown accountable (which was, after all, the point Pelosi was trying to make.)

Video: Crooks and Liars.

I watched that clip, and I could've sworn I was watching some new FOX News show (Hannity and.... Noone?). The part you posted where Kyra's interrupting Rep. Nancy in mid-sentence was one of the moments I cringed a bit. Is it journalism when you interrupt someone answering your question? The reporters from the WH Press Corps do it often because Scott McClellan talks out of the side of his face so much, but I didn't get anything from Pelosi that she was dodging the question. I suppose that's what seperates lefty press from the neo-con perspective: Liberals will call you on your BS and the conservatives will BS you out of trying to tell the truth.

I was flipping through the cable news channels, and I saw the Kyra/Nancy clip being replayed on CNN (albeit shortened). After it played, Kyra was defending her journalistic ethics and read off a few (printed out) emails from viewers. I believe two were critical of Pelosi, two critical of herself (one even implored CNN to fire her or he'd stop watching, to which she told the viewer "goodbye") and one supportive of both. I wasn't harping on Kyra for asking tough questions, but rather how her emotions cascaded over any threshold of professionalism with her bugged out eyes, red face and excessive volume.
Seeing that she was able to revisit the interview with a bit of control made me think better of her, but real journalists don't screech when someone who has to speak publicly for their job can articulate facts as facts and not opinions.
